finally made it back to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo today outside Colorado Springs. It’s a great zoo built onto the side of Cheyenne Mountain. A little chilly today but the animals were quite active. I can’t wait to see a wild sloth soon after watching a sloth make its way around an exhibit space. The giraffes are always our favorites.
Colorado’s southwestern region includes some of the best scenery in the state as well as being home to Anasazi ruins and historic western towns. The San Juan mountains meet mesa country in southwest Colorado providing an endless array of outdoor opportunities.

It’s always fun to walk around a frozen Bear Lake. Not nearly as crowded as the summer.
